I live in cameroon in the city of doula.I tried to install 2 pv panels of 100watts each,a 50amp charge controll unit,a 2000watt inverter and 2 battery of 120amp each, the system does not function because it runs out of ac power if a small load is applied.I will like to know which setup is required for the backup battery to have continues charge inorder to sustain the ac load supply?

I can afford to install a system several times what you talk about. I live in a hurricane area that can be without utilities for a week or more. I want to be able to live like normal during an outage. The selling excess back to the utility company when I don't need it is also of interest. My roofs are tile and I would prefer having a ground mounted system within a walled area. I have the yard size that make this easily done. From what I read, I can connect and disconnect the grid as I see fit. I need to be referred to a company that can help me accomplish this.

Nice job. It seems solar equipment is still very expensive... while many people might want to use renewable energy, the infrastructure is still heavily priced.
